A Little Blog Love Back Atcha...

It occurred to me the other day as I was blog hopping....

It's been the longest time since I've had a giveaway. :)

Sometimes life just gets in the way...the painting and sculpting, the commissions and shows and auctions, the email and errands, the cooking and cleaning. Craziness around here on a daily basis...

So I'm here to remedy that with this humble little trinket box. It's just 3" x 3" x 3", but perfect for a few teabags or maybe some catnip....or rings, or paperclips, or whatever tiny treasures you may want to keep in it.

I love the tiny mice running around the edge, and the little message inside. They make me smile. :)

All you have to do is leave a comment here about something that makes you smile, and you'll be entered in the drawing. If you follow my blog, you'll be entered twice. And if you have a blog and give this little giveaway a mention, I'll make it three times. :)

And if you don't have a blog which links to your post, be sure to leave me your email so I have a way to get in touch with you.:)

Names will be tossed in the hat one week from today (Monday, August 24th) at 9PM eastern, and I'll announce the winner. (Oh, and I'm fine with international entries!)

Thanks for playing!
♥ Carolee

  1. My four kitties make me smile. Every day, several times a day. I have one tuxedo who's face is black, except for a little white chin. Your black cats make me think of her.

  13. Your work in my home makes me smile every day. Your artistic kitties remind me so much of my own kitties and their crazy antics. And you have totally recreated the likenesses of my 3 cats and my dog in the tea chest and garden sign. I'm so happy to have met you through ebay. Perhaps one day it will be in person. Meanwhile I am so lucky to have these pieces to enjoy. Barbara on Camano

  37. Well, for starters, your artwork has been making me smile for a long time now. A sign that says there is no place like home hanging by my front door makes me smile....and we know who painted it. My black cat, Pixie makes me smile and often laugh out loud with her antics. There is something in every season that makes me smile, and just the word Halloween brings a smile to my face. I could go on and on, but I will stop here.

Watching the birds eat from the plethora of feeders in the side yard while I have my morning tea. The squirrels hanging upside down to eat from those same feeders. My brown and white goat, Jesse, when he comes up to eat from my hand and be petted. William the sheep, when he does the same . . .

  80. Carolee, I just came in from Facebook to see the wonderful gift that you are giving. What makes me smile is my child, my miracle child that I have been blessed with.He is the light of my entire life. I smile because I sculpt and am a fellow artist! I smile too, because I am a witch and teaching the ways of the Earth to my son, who is so willing to learn it all. Samhain (Halloween) IS the BEST holiday ever and I always look forward to it every year, so it makes me smile also.
Thanks for the opportunity to win your fantastic art!

  120. Well, I wasn't going to try for this because I know that as soon as I see your amazing work in person, I'm going to NEED another piece. And once you have TWO of something, you may as well make it THREE and a COLLECTION! And from there...well, it just never stops! Heh Heh!

But my four furry children (cats) insisted that this would be the perfect box in which to store some of thier yum yum treats. And since thier fuzzy little hearts and paws are what truly makes me happy, I have to do it! :)

Hugs, Tamara - who does follow you (and drools over your work!) and is going to post about you on her blog right now. Because even if I don't win, others should know about your work! :)

  121. The twinkle in the kitty's eye reminds me of my own Phoebe's twinkle. Sadly tho, I had to give her up for adoption almost 10 years ago, because it was just too difficult to move with her cross-country from WI to TN (& because she wasn't pleased that my future husband had entered our lives). She did find a good home though & I'm sure she's happy.

Oh, so I don't forget, I follow your blog, too! :-)

  122. Things that make me smile are my two granddaughters. I love watching them and listening to their silly little stories. They have great imaginations. And the best of all when they hug me and tell me they love me.
I am following you now and I will add you to my blog list and put your giveaway in my blog.
    Prim Blessings Chris

  129. Love your blog - and your artwork!
Let's see, what makes me smile...well, this always bring a smile to my face and warms my heart and soul - I'll try to make it short! I was a 'tom-boy' as a girl growing up, didn't like girlie things till about 20! Got married and had children. My 2nd, a little girl, was truely God-made, because she is nothing like me! She is as girlie girl, pink, lace and ruffles, mommy/baby dolls - the whole bit. Well, I have no idea what to do when she breaks out her Barbie's! I try to get her to play baseball with me but no way! So, what do I hear down the hall in a high pitch voice is my husband, who's as manly as a man can be - gruffy and 'car-dirty', playing Barbie's with her - helping her change their clothes and 'go to the mall'! He'll do it until his little girl says so, without complaint - and that's what makes me smile, the love my hubby has for his little girl!!!
