I'm far away in WA, but lucky for me, that means I'm close to the Portland Art and Soul. I'm so excited to be going for the first time this year.
I think my dream place may be John C though...my husband could come along and take their cooking/ baking classes. It would be a great getaway for both of us.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00103113967062009796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1912431965202566104.post-3878410571931266172010-09-06T14:00:42.257-07:002010-09-06T14:00:42.257-07:00My friend and colored pencil artist Joanna Powell ...My friend and colored pencil artist Joanna Powell Colbert went to a art retreat in the Pacific Northwest some weeks back, and I started feeling the pull to do something like that, amateur dillitant that I am.Sage BrightHearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14751436686923756357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1912431965202566104.post-55105733220280217962010-09-06T09:27:07.230-07:002010-09-06T09:27:07.230-07:00Gosh, there are so many I would love to do.....

It's simply inspiring to be in a classroom space with the creative energy of all the artists feeding off one another and coming up with more and more fantastical ideas and art pieces. I really enjoy myself at these retreats--but if I could make them ideal, they'd be less exhausting. I get so excited at being around other like-minded artists that I spend a lot of time socializing, going out to dinner, etc., when probably, i should be resting in my room.
My ideal retreat would have lots of different choices of media and teachers, and Art & Soul does just that. I can't say enough good about it! Glenny really goes out of her way to make it a fantastic event.
Someday I'd like to attend the A&S in Portland. So far I've only been to Hampton, Va.Sandra L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12996512145634439543noreply@blogger.com
