I'll be making Mexican food for dinner, and watching the end of "Frida" tonight (try as I may, I never seem to carve out enough time to watch a movie in one sitting!)
Hmmmmmmmmm.....perhaps a Frida inspired piece is in order soon?
Stay tuned....
♥ Carolee
I LOVED that movie! I need to watch it again.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Dear Carolee, you know how much I love every single piece of your artwork.
ReplyDeleteBut please, don´t start painting Fridas. I love Frida Kahlos artwork, I love the movie but there are allready gazillions of Frida paintings.
They are everywhere, with cute little faces, living happiely ever after.
I think that is quiet spooky.
Don´t you think.
I wish you a great day.
Janine
That would be great, looking forward to seeing what you create.
ReplyDeleteLOL...I should have been clearer....When I say "inspired", I'm not thinking of actual Frida paintings (of which there are indeed plenty), but more of the bright, Mexican, folkloric/surrealist style.....probably a Day of the Dead piece. :)
ReplyDeleteCarrie, this is the second time I've seen it too, and I love it - Like "Girl With a Pearl Earring" the cinematography makes nearly every frame look like a painting...just beautiful!
Oh Carolee, I should have known, that I can count on you.
ReplyDeleteA day of day piece sounds great to me.
Happy painting
Janine
I haven't seen that movie yet! Maybe I'll try to rent it. Mexican food sounds good....and maybe a margarita.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!!
Happy Cinco & enjoy that Mexican dinner tonite...can I come over too?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Carolee!
