Sometimes a Little Madness and a Little Giveaway...

....And a tumble down the Rabbit Hole...

Is exactly what one needs to make the world not so topsy-turvy anymore. ♥

Do come in, and grab a cup of your favorite brew (mine is currently this lovely lemon chiffon!)...

And choose one of these yummy cookies (actually a birthday surprise a while back from a very special friend and Alice collector!) This picture, and her thoughtfulness always make me smile. :)

To be honest, my world has been turned completely upside down recently, and in the most devastating way, so I'm afraid I haven't had time for really proper tea party preparations. But with the help of my friends, both real-life and online, I'm picking up the pieces and forging ahead with a new chapter...

In the midst of all these changes, I'm back in the studio, and working on - what else? - a new Alice inspired piece...

(A hint - there will be a very LARGE White Rabbit involved.)

Anywho..

I'm sorry this is so short, and probably less than super imaginative....But I thank you ever so much for visiting, and if you leave a comment, I will draw a name in a few days (say next Saturday?) and the winner can choose their favorite print from my Etsy shop. I think Alice tumbling down the Rabbit Hole may even be there, but you can have your pick!

Much love, and Happy Tea Partying...

xoxo,
~ Carolee

I have always admired your work. I know the struggles that I watched you go through on here and you have handled them all with such grace. I would love to own a piece of your work for it holds both beauty and grace as you do. Thanks for continuing to create for all of us fans to admire.

Sometimes when life crashes around us we must take a deep breath, remember what we are grateful for, and take some time for ourselves and to find a new normal.
You are so warm and generous for inviting us into your home. We all look anxiously forward to visiting the reults of your studio time. I wonder if this giant white rabbit may perhaps have a name? Or a pocketwatch?

First of all, I'm sorry you are going through rough times. May things settle down soon. I'm glad you chose to host your tea party anyway. Things have been a bit mad in my world too--illness--but I think that rolling (partying?) with the punches is what keeps us going.

Love your painting. And your yummy tea, too. I shall keep my fingers crossed for the giveaway.

Happy Mad Tea Party! ♥

I know you won't remember me, we 'met' on the old now defunct Victoria forum. My heart bled for you when I read your news but I am happy to see you creating even in the midst of deep sadness.
I have always adored your art! Find a little madness, a plate of crazy cookies, and a cup of tea and a chat.
Hugs

Just found this blog the other day-LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your work, especially the kitties.

I am so sorry for your loss. My husband passed away suddenly 22 years ago due to an accident. It turned my world upside down. I saw a counselor weekly for about the first 6 months, then gradually less frequently. I also read some books on grieving and as they suggested, did not make any major financial/life decisions. I guess the main thing I learned is that mourning and grief are different for everyone-no two people have the same timetable. Be gentle with yourself and take the time you need to heal. It's a gradual process, but you WILL get through it and emerge as a stronger person on the other side.

HUGS - hang in there. There's something about 2016 that is kicking all of our collective booties. This past week has been awful for me as well, so I wanted to be sure and let you know that someone cares. Things will get better, eventually. In the meantime, we'll hang onto the things and people that bring the sweetness to our lives. I hope you find something to make you smile soon. <3

I'm a day-late to the fun and just now getting around to each party, but if you haven't already, do drop by and say hi. :)
