A Little Blog Love Back Atcha...

It occurred to me the other day as I was blog hopping....

It's been the longest time since I've had a giveaway. :)

Sometimes life just gets in the way...the painting and sculpting, the commissions and shows and auctions, the email and errands, the cooking and cleaning. Craziness around here on a daily basis...

So I'm here to remedy that with this humble little trinket box. It's just 3" x 3" x 3", but perfect for a few teabags or maybe some catnip....or rings, or paperclips, or whatever tiny treasures you may want to keep in it.

I love the tiny mice running around the edge, and the little message inside. They make me smile. :)

All you have to do is leave a comment here about something that makes you smile, and you'll be entered in the drawing. If you follow my blog, you'll be entered twice. And if you have a blog and give this little giveaway a mention, I'll make it three times. :)

And if you don't have a blog which links to your post, be sure to leave me your email so I have a way to get in touch with you.:)

Names will be tossed in the hat one week from today (Monday, August 24th) at 9PM eastern, and I'll announce the winner. (Oh, and I'm fine with international entries!)

Thanks for playing!
♥ Carolee

Your black kitty box reminds us of our own cat Lucy - and certainly elicited a smile! Very nice work.

Okay, I am thinking about what makes me smile... well, I know one thing for sure - your work is pretty high on that list!

I could use this kitty cat trinket box - wink, wink, nudge, nudge... Ashes would love to keep catnip in it :)

Your work in my home makes me smile every day. Your artistic kitties remind me so much of my own kitties and their crazy antics. And you have totally recreated the likenesses of my 3 cats and my dog in the tea chest and garden sign. I'm so happy to have met you through ebay. Perhaps one day it will be in person. Meanwhile I am so lucky to have these pieces to enjoy. Barbara on Camano

Well, for starters, your artwork has been making me smile for a long time now. A sign that says there is no place like home hanging by my front door makes me smile....and we know who painted it. My black cat, Pixie makes me smile and often laugh out loud with her antics. There is something in every season that makes me smile, and just the word Halloween brings a smile to my face. I could go on and on, but I will stop here.

What makes me smile? My cats, every lovely one of them (and the black cat on the box looks like my Theo, who died last year). Watching the birds eat from the plethora of feeders in the side yard while I have my morning tea. The squirrels hanging upside down to eat from those same feeders. My brown and white goat, Jesse, when he comes up to eat from my hand and be petted. William the sheep, when he does the same . . .

Love your blog - and your artwork!
Let's see, what makes me smile...well, this always bring a smile to my face and warms my heart and soul - I'll try to make it short! I was a 'tom-boy' as a girl growing up, didn't like girlie things till about 20! Got married and had children. My 2nd, a little girl, was truely God-made, because she is nothing like me! She is as girlie girl, pink, lace and ruffles, mommy/baby dolls - the whole bit. Well, I have no idea what to do when she breaks out her Barbie's! I try to get her to play baseball with me but no way! So, what do I hear down the hall in a high pitch voice is my husband, who's as manly as a man can be - gruffy and 'car-dirty', playing Barbie's with her - helping her change their clothes and 'go to the mall'! He'll do it until his little girl says so, without complaint - and that's what makes me smile, the love my hubby has for his little girl!!!

Valerie said...

Think I missed the deadline but your paintings make me smile. So do my kids, my birds, my vats, my dogs, the hawk that swoops past, the tomatoes growing on the vine...

Hope your pasta was yummy.
